Chris studied Engineering at Cambridge before starting a 30-year career in finance. He worked in New York, Boston and London for a major international investment bank, a fund of hedge funds and an asset management firm.
Throughout that time he was engaged in leading in-house and external seminars for colleagues and clients, helping them to understand some of the most complex concepts in the financial world.
That affinity for explaining difficult subject matter in a comprehensible way led him to setting up Tenent and taking his experience to schools. As a result of his work for Tenent, he was asked to teach Economics at a London school. He is also in demand as a tutor in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
In his non-teaching moments he is a keen musician, and has been a choir master and regularly performs as part of various London choirs.
